CFTC is hosting a Fashion Show Gala with Bloomingdale’s in February 2010 which should be one of the most fun event’s of the season. Women cancer survivors will walk the ‘cat walk’ with their faithful critters - both wearing the latest in fashion couture for the upcoming season. There will also be an opportunity to bid for some fabulous gifts during our Silent Auction portion of the gala while others nosh on scrumcious orderves while sipping champagne.
There will be notible guest hosts and an opportunity to meet with others from the Washington DC community who will all come together to help support CFTC in an effort to raise awareness for women’s cancer and to raise money for our Critters Patient Treatment Fund which helps women battling cancer who are either uninsured or underinsured with financial gaps. This year, we have assisted women with wigs, prosthetics, medical bills and co-payments, transportation to treatment, rent, child care, vet bills and even critter sitters. No women should have to choose between paying a co-payment for her next chemo appointment or taking her sick kitty to the vet; paying for this month’s rent or filling a RX for nausea medication. Together, we can make a difference.
